This collection draws from the structured tailoring of McQueen's early career, the dark and twisted beauty of his early eponymous brand, and the expressive watercolor prints and bold drapery of the house's later designs. I designed all of the prints in this collection, starting with abstract gouache paintings and rough pastel hounds tooths to create a depth of color and texture, an undone but beautiful quality that captures the essence of the brand's identity. Delicate lace, crisp sateen, black leather, and chunky zippers highlight the beauty and sharpness of the bold prints.
